Senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr., who lost in the vice presidential race last election, met President-elect Rodrigo Duterte at a restobar in Davao City on Friday.
Marcos flew to Davao to congratulate Duterte on his victory and to thank his friend for allowing a burial of his father, the late President Ferdinand Marcos at the Libingan ng mga Bayani.
According to reports, the meeting also tackled a possible cabinet post for Marcos but under the law, a candidate who lost in any election cannot be appointed to any office in the government within one year after the election.
