Rachelle Ann Go Wins Best Support Actress Award for Miss Saigon





Rachelle Ann Go took home the Best Supporting Actress award in the 2015 WhatsOnStage Awards for her performance as Gigi Van Tranh in “Miss Saigon.”

In her Facebook post, Go said: “I am still floating:) dream come true again… thank you Lord for this blessing… To everyone who watched Miss Saigon and voted, thank you for appreciating our talent. We sing for you every night and will not get tired of performing. The whole @MissSaigonUK cast is rejoicing!! To my family who is always there to love and support everything i do, i love you so much and miss you all! To my brother @oz_go for my outfit, you are the best! Everyone’s asking about your creation, I’m a proud sister! Thank you again Whats On Stage Awards for this! Yes!!!”

Rachelle Ann was only one of the nine winners (out of 12 nominations) for Miss Saigon which was named Best Musical Revival and Best West End Show. The others were Jon Jon Briones (as The Engineer), Best Actor in a Musical, and Eva Noblezada (as Kim), Best Actress in a Musical. Jon Jon is pure Filipino and Eva is a Fil-Am residing in Charlotte, North Carolina. Their co-star, Korean Kwang-Ho Hong (as Thuy), won Best Supporting Actor.

Now on its 15th year, the WhatsOnStage Awards is based entirely on votes by theater-going audiences.
