Vivian Velez Quits ABS-CBN’s TV Series After Cristine Reyes Humiliated Her

Veteran actress Vivian Velez took to Twitter and announced that she’s resigning from ABS-CBN primetime soap “Tubig at Langis” after Cristine Reyes humiliated her.

“With much trepidation,” she posted, “I would like to tender my immediate irrevocable resignation, effective immediately, from the show, ‘Tubig at Langis’. I have never been so upset and humiliated by an actress in my entire career spanning four decades!,” she wrote.

In an interview with PEP, Velez said Cristine had been acting rude and hostile towards her for a month now: “The straw that broke the camel’s back was when we shared a designated standby room and she asked me to leave the room because she wants it only for her own.”

“She bangs the doors, shouted at me. She keeps on singing ‘Goodbye, Farewell’ in front of my face while we are rehearsing.”

In a separate interview, Velez said she hopes ABS-CBN network “would discipline Cristine. I heard from others that she really has this kind of reputation… Bastos.”

Vivian added that she will meet with the producers of the soap opera today but added her resignation is irrevocable.

Cristine had yet to issue a statement regarding Vivian’s allegations.

UPDATE: After meeting with ABS-CBN, Vivian Velez agreed to shoot unfinished scenes from the network’s prime time soap “Tubig at Langis” but no scenes with Cristine Reyes.
