Comedy bar singer Jennie Gabriel failed to defend her title on It’s Showtime “Tawag Ng Tanghalan.” Her reign as the defending champion was cut short after losing to Adelene Rabulan from Metro Manila.
On Thursday, July 14, the comedy bar singer lost to Rabulan during their final showdown on the show.

The 16-year-old aspiring singer performed her own rendition of “Ikaw” by Yeng Constantino while Gabriel belted out Whitney Houston classic hit song “One Moment In Time,” who obviously missed some notes during her performance.
After the judges deliberation, host Vice Ganda revealed Rabulan as the new champion of Tawag Ng Tanghalan.
Meanwhile, the Angel Locsin sound-alike took home a total of P220,000 and will return in the 3rd quarter semi-final rounds of the competition.
Gabriel has now tied the record of both Marielle Montellano and Rachel Gabreza for the most number of wins on “Tawag ng Tanghalan.”
