Froilan Canlas has been named winner of It’s Showtime’s singing competition Tawag Ng Tanghalan “Huling Tapatan Day 2.”
In an episode aired Tuesday (March 7), Canlas performed his own rendition of “Anak,” an OPM original song by Freddie Aguilar. His performance earned him the highest number of text votes with 98.90 percent and a spot in the grand finals.

Canlas defeated other grand finalists Sam Mangubat Batangas, Eumee Capile, Gidget dela Llana, and Pauline Agupitan but will return on Wednesday for a chance to earn a spot for the Top 5.
Canlas is now up against Noven Belleza on Tawag Ng Tanghalan Grand Finals on Saturday, March 11 at the Resorts World Manila in Pasay City.
