During the final rounds of the competition, Carl Malone belted out his version of “Habang May Buhay” by After Image, while daily round winner Samantha Felizco sang her own rendition of “Someone Like You” by Adele.
During his performance, some of the judges Ogie Alcasid, Jaya, and K Brosas were visibly moved by the blind balladeer’s performance.
After tabulating the final scores, the judges voted for Carl Malone and gave a total average score of 94.0 percent while Samantha received 92.0 percent.
The blind balladeer from Mindanao took home a total cash prize of P110,000 and will return on Tawag Ng Tanghalan stage on Saturday to defend his title for a fifth win and a spot in the semifinals.
