Qaasim Middleton, 18, performed his version of “Sir Duke” by Stevie Wonder on American Idol Season 14 Thursday night, January 15 in New York City auditions.

He’s a rapper, dancer and a singer. He’s taking up voice lessons in college. He’s very musical, incorporating runs and a little falsetto into his performance. Very original. Jennifer Lopez says he’s got “the whole vibe going on.” Harry Connick Jr. admires that he’s going to school and working on his craft. Adam Lambert can’t wait to see what he can do with some arrangement. He got three yeses and he’s going to Hollywood!
