After winning against 2015 Southeast Asian Games silver medalist Vietnam on Monday, August 14, the Philippines is determined to defeat Thailand in the 19th Asian Senior Women’s Volleyball Championship quarterfinals.
The Philippine team led by Alyssa Valdez, Jaja Santiago, and Maika Ortiz are expected to seal a 3-2 record.
Meanwhile, because of their loss to the Philippines, Vietnam match Japan in the quarterfinals. The Japanese team earlier defeated Thailand in four sets.
