WATCH: Philippines Maureen Wroblewitz is Asia’s Next Top Model Cycle 5 Winner?

Philippines bet Maureen Wroblewitz is the grand winner of Asia’s Next Top Model Cycle 5: Expect The Unexpected.

According to reliable sources, Maureen bested 13 other contenders from Indonesia, Singapore, Thailand, Taiwan and finalists Shikin Gomez from Malaysia and Minh Tu Nguyen from Vietnam.

Aside from Maureen, the Philippines also sent two other contestants but were eliminated early in the competition.

Anjelica Santillan was the first eliminated contestant this season while Jennica Sanchez was the third contestant to be sent home.

Last week, the Filipina-German model Maureen was saved from elimination and joined Malaysia’s Shikin Gomez and Vietnam’s Minh Tu Nguyen for the final challenge.

After the episode, she took to Instagram and wrote: “Who would’ve thought a ‘pretty face with no skills’ would fight her way to Top 3?”

“Tu and Shikin have been my biggest competitors from the start and it’s crazy that I get to be in the top with them. We couldn’t be any more diverse from looks to personality. The only thing we’ve got in common now, is the determination to win!”

She continued: “Never have I expected to come this far! This makes me even more proud of all the things I’ve achieved during the competition. There are so many things I’ve learned and experienced, and now it’s the last time I get to show it all.”

On Wednesday, Asia’s Next Top Model Cycle 5 Grand Finale will be aired on Star World at 9 p.m.
