Christopher Rodrigueza from Metro Manila successfully defended his “Tawag ng Tanghalan” title on “It’s Showtime.” He is the latest contestant to enter the semifinal rounds of the competition.
On Saturday, September 3, the 23-year-old “Visual Effects Artistahin ng Quezon City” performed his version of Charlie Puth’s “See You Again” which earned him a spot in the quarter three semifinal rounds of the singing contest.
Christopher beat the daily winner Recelle Ordas from Luzon, who also impressed the judges with her heartfelt version of “Don’t Know How To Love Him” by Sarah Brightman.
Christopher received a total average score of 95.0 percent while Recelle received a total average of 92.0 percent. He will be back on the show next week to continue his reign as the defending champion of the competition.
