Bea Rose Santiago from the Philippines was crowned winner of Miss International 2013 held at the Shinagawa Prince Hotel Hall, Tokyo, Japan, Tuesday, Dec. 17.

The 5’9 Filipina head-tuner vested other 66 lovely candidates from all over the globe in the 53rd edition of Miss International.
She is the country’s 5th Miss International title holder after Gemma Cruz (1964), Aurora Pijuan (1970), Melanie Marquez (1979) and Lara Quigaman (2005).

Bea, 23, was born in Alabang, Muntinlupa City and spent her grade school and early high school years in Cataingan, Masbate. Her family moved to Canada when she was 16. She’s pursuing a degree in Communications (major in Public Relations) at York University in Toronto when she was lured by the glam of modeling and beauty pageants.
