Photos taken after an 8.9 magnitude quake hits northern Japan on March 10, 2011. Tsunami followed after the main quake causing massive damage.

The huge quake produced widespread power outrage, and countries across the Pacific Ocean, from Russia to South America including Hawaii, the West Coast of the United States and the Philippines alerted possible tsunami waves.
