Boy band group ‘Takeoff‘ was eliminated from the ‘X Factor Philippines‘ Top 8 on Sunday night, September 2, 2012 held at the Pagcor Grand Theater in Paranaque City.

On survival showdown, Takeoff performed “Sa Kanya” while Joan Da sang “Grenade”. Judges Pilita Corales and Charice voted for Joan to stay while Martin Nievera and Gary Valenciano saved Takeoff. The group received the lowest votes and eliminated from the show.

Meanwhile, controversial contestant Kedebon Colim, who struggled during the performance night on Saturday, did not even land on the bottom two. He’s now part of X Factor Philippines Top 7 together with KZ Tandingan, Daddy’s Home, Jeric Medina, Allen Sta. Maria, Gabriel Maturan and Joan Da.
