Comedian Melai Contiveros was named winner of ‘Your Face Sounds Familiar’ on Sunday, May 10, aired via ABS-CBN.
The former PBB housemate brought the house down when she impersonate Elizabeth Ramsey and performed ‘Waray Waray‘ during the ninth week episode of the show.
After her performance, Sharon Cuneta told her that she’ll be receiving eight points from her, ahead of the announcement of scores. “Nauna na ako. I think eksaktong eksakto talaga ‘yung pagkakaganap mo kay Mama Beth. I had to keep checking kanina, meron bang flaw, meron ba kahit isang flaw, wala talaga. ‘Yung ‘pag sinabing perfect, perfect talaga. So, congratulations Melai, you’re getting my eight points tonight,” she added.
“What can I say? Usually, whenever we see the performances, nagsusulat kami ng notes, But this time, wala akong naisulat kasi I don’t want to miss any minute, any second of your performance. That performance was spotless. For me, the best performance you’ve ever done,” Jed Madela said.
Melai received the highest score with 42 points this week. Followed by Nyoy Volante with 19 points. Jay R got 18 while Edgar Allan with 17 points. Jolina Magdangal with 14, Karla Estrada got 10, Tutti got 9 and Maxene received the lowest score this week with only 3 points.
Cantiveros won the P100,000 weekly prize. Half of her prize will be donated to the Diocese of Marbel Alay Kapwa Social Action.
