John Mark Saga from Luzon successfully defended his title and became the first semi-finalist of Tawag Ng Tanghalan Season 2 on Friday, June 16, 2017.
Saga earned the highest score with 94.0 percent for performing his own rendition of Barbra Streisand’s “Somewhere,” while daily winner Kenneth Tandong from Mindanao also impressed with Al Green’s “Let’s Stay Together.”
After their performance, the judges gave Saga the highest score with 94.0 percent while Tandong with 91.6 percent.
Saga will be back on Monday to continue his reign as the defending champion of Tawag Ng Tanghalan Season 2.
