Jhon Clyd Talili successfully defended his title on Tawag Ng Tanghalan Kids on Friday, March 17, 2017. He is the first contestant to enter the semifinal rounds of the competition.

The 10-year-old singer from Surigao del Sur belted out his version of “Narito Ako,” a song popularized by Asia’s Songbird Regine Velasquez-Alcasid during the 90’s.

He earned a total of 95.8 percent from the judges votes and defeated Metro Manila contender Wyllian Heart Salvador, Luzon contender Kate Campo and Jay Rome Sevillejo from Visayas.

Talili received a total of P125,000 for his 5-day reign as champion. Aside from the cash prize, he also received a free television from the show host Anne Curtis.

On Saturday, four contestants will compete for the next daily winner and defending champion of Tawag Ng Tanghalan Kids.
