Althea Ordina was named new defending champion of It’s Showtime’s singing competition “Tawag Ng Tanghalan Kids.”
On Saturday, May 20, Ordina defeated three-time defending champ Kurt Laput from Mindanao with her performance of ‘Safe and Sound’ by Taylor Swift.
During the daily rounds, the 10-year-old talented young singer impressed the audience as well as the judges for her version of ‘Fly Me To The Moon.’
Ordina received the highest score with 91.8 percent, while Laput with 90 percent for singing “Too Much Love Will Kill You” by Queen.
She will return on Tawag Ng Tanghalan stage on Monday to defend her second win.
