JUST IN: Miss Germany Says Sorry to Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach

In a video shared by beauty pageant blog Missosology, Miss Germany sympathized with Miss Colombia and claimed that Pia Wurtzbach did not get the votes of other candidates.

“I really couldn’t believe it, I was so upset. For me (she was robbed) as the real winner. I was very happy for Miss Colombia because she really deserved it. I’m really not happy with the result and so are the other girls,” she said.

Natalia Cruz, a correspondent for Missosology asked Riek why she and the other candidates went directly to Miss Colombia after Pia Wurtzbach was crowned as Miss Universe.

Riek smiled and said, “Because no one of us voted for Philippines. I’m so sorry to say that.”

The reporter then asked Riek to elaborate her answer, she replied, “No, I don’t want to talk about that.”

When asked how she would have handled the situation had she been in the same fate as Gutierrez, she said that it would be the “most awful situation ever.” “That would be a nightmare,” she said. “To get crowned Ms. Universe and for them to take away the crown, I feel so sorry for her (Gutierrez). But I would have passed the crown and would still be proud to represent my country.”

Meanwhile, numerous comments were left in response to the controversial statements. “Miss Germany claiming her chance for fame… she may not have won the crown but she will definitely be the talk of the town because of her b*tchy comment. And that’s why you didn’t won,” wrote Renjil Parro.
