Boxing champ Manny Pacquiao caught the ire of netizens including Aiza Seguerra, Vice Ganda, Boy Abunda and celebrity blogger Perez Hilton after his controversial comment calling gay people worse than animals.
His wife Jinkee Pacquiao came to defend the boxing champ from his bashers. In a photo posted on her Instagram account, Jinkee wrote:
“Haters gonna hate, but there is no room for negativity in my life and my family. Godbless everyone! #loveoneanother #ijustprayforeverything.”
Her post received negative comments from followers while others pleaded to respect Manny’s opinion on the issue.
Last night, Manny quickly apologized about his statement after his video became viral on social networking sites.
“I’m sorry for hurting people by comparing homosexuals to animals. Please forgive me for those I’ve hurt. I still stand on my belief that I’m against same sex marriage because of what the Bible says, but I’m not condemning LGBT. I love you all with the love of the Lord. God Bless you all and I’m praying for you,” said Manny on his Facebook page.
