The decision was announced during church services early Friday morning, July 24, 2015.

The expulsion of Samson from the church is due to the latter’s refusal to submit to the authority of INC said Edwil Zabala, spokesperson of Iglesia Ni Cristo.

On Thursday, Samson said that there have been reports of corruption involving the church’s top council, but couldn’t say if Executive Minister Eduardo Manalo was involved. He was suspended by the council and put under house arrest in Tandang Sora, Quezon City.

“INC people have been trained to obey and follow the word of God, and if ever a member of the INC has committed an error or mistake, the immediate thing to do is to repent, change his way of life. But that’s not what’s happening now, in what I’ve seen to be the work of the Sanggunian.”

“They wanted me to say that the statements (of Angel and Tenny Manalo) made were not true and that the abductions of ministers were also not true,” Samson said.

Samson is also being accused of being Antonio Ebanghelista, the man behind the blog “Iglesia Ni Cristo – Silent No More,” which has been posting allegations against INC.
