Real-estate magnate and Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump has called reigning Miss Universe pageant winner, Colombia’s Paulina Vega, a hypocrite.

In his tweet on Sunday, Trump said:
“Miss Universe, Paulina Vega, criticized me for telling the truth about illegal immigration, but then said she would keep the crown-Hypocrite.”
On Friday, Vega joined a chorus of voices denouncing controversial remarks by Trump.
“I find Mr. Trump’s comments unjust and hurtful,” Paulina Vega wrote in an Instagram post. “As a Colombian and as Miss Universe, I want to show my support and validate the sentiments of the Latin community.”
Despite her comment on the issue, Vega has said she won’t be giving up her crown.
Trump irked many with comments during his presidential announcement speech last month about Mexican immigration to the United States.
“When Mexico sends its people, they’re not sending their best,” Trump said then, according to a transcript. “They’re bringing drugs. They’re bringing crime. They’re rapists.”
