The mother of Angelica Yap, also known as ‘Pastillas Girl,’ was shot dead by an unknown gunman in Calocaan City Sunday night.
According to ABS-CBN, Teresa Yap, 43, sustained a gunshot wound in the back of her head. She was taken to the Chinese General Hospital, but the medical staff was unable to save her. She was pronounced dead at 9:20 p.m.
Reports added that Teresa, a barangay kagawad of Barangay 137 in Caloocan, received a lot of death threats via text messages saying she would be finished before Christmas.
Meanwhile, a closed-circuit television (CCTV) camera of Barangay 131 caught the whole incident.
