Canadian Comedienne Katherine Ryan Jokes About ‘Filipino Children’ on BBC Show (VIDEO)






Katherine Ryan, a Canadian comedienne, writer and actress, based in the United Kingdom, became popular in social networking sites after using “Filipino children” as part of her joke in British celebrity panel game show “Mock the Week” hosted by Dara Ó Briain.

In a 15-second clip video uploaded on YouTube last June 13, Ryan said, “We don’t use any of our products on animals. We use Filipino children.”

Her appearance in the show has apparently angered many Filipino netizens and said that the comedienne was unprofessional and racist.

Meanwhile, Ryan explained and told Filipino Scribe via Twitter: ”If you’d watched the whole show instead of reacting to a still shot out of context, you might feel that I was criticizing the EXPLOITATION of children. The joke is never, ever ON children. Watch the show.”
