Watch Philippines bet Pia Wurtzbach performances during the finals of Miss Universe 2015.
On Sunday, December 20, 2015, Philippines bet Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach was crowned winner of the 64th Miss Universe pageant held at The Axis Theater in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA.
The 26-year-old beauty queen bested other 79 official candidates from around the world including Miss USA Olivia Jordan, who was named second runner-up and Miss Colombia Ariadna Gutierrez as the first runner-up.
At the end of the show, host Steve Harvey announced Miss Colombia Ariadna Gutiérrez as the winner. However, after Gutiérrez’s crowning, Harvey stated that he had misread the results and that Wurtzbach was the actual Miss Universe 2015. Miss Universe 2014 Paulina Vega then handed Gutiérrez’s crown over to Wurtzbach.
