Rolene Strauss, 22, from South Africa was crowned winner of Miss World 2014 held tonight at ExCel Exhibition Centre in London England. Strauss beat out other 121 candidates from around the world.
The medical student clasped her hands together in surprise and was crowned by the outgoing Miss World, Megan Young of the Philippines, before a fireworks finale.
“South Africa this is for you,” Strauss said afterwards. “I think I will brace myself for what’s about to happen. It’s a huge responsibility.”
The 64th Miss World beauty pageant was hosted by Welsh actor and television presenter, Tim Vincent, and Miss World 2013, Megan Young as well as Mr. World Canada 2013 and Miss World 2014 Web Presenter, Frankie Cena.
