The much-awaited 65th Miss Universe Preliminary Competition will happen Thursday at the Mall of Asia Arena in Manila January 26, 2017 at 7 p.m. (Manila Time).
Tonight, 86 contestants from around the world will take the stage in swimsuits and evening gowns. A separate closed-door interview with the candidates will also be part of the competition.
In this round, the Top 12 candidates instead of 15 will be selected but will be revealed during the grand coronation on Monday, January 30.
The preliminary event will be judged by Miss Universe 1993 Dayanara Torres, former model and founder of The Bailey Agency Cynthia Bailey, publicist and international marketing director Rob Goldstone, President/Executive Producer of the People’s Choice Awards Fred Nelson, social entrepreneur Francine LeFrak and Miss Universe 2007 Riyo Mori.
The Preliminary Competition will be hosted by Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach and Filipino-British actor Derek Ramsay.
