Robbery gang leader Herbert Colanggo, one of the VIP inmates, has a music video shot inside the New Bilibid Prisons.

His music earned platinum sales of at least 15,000 copies of one of his albums and a Best New Male Artist award from PMPC Star Awards for Music for his album “Kinabukasan” featuring his hit song “Pano Yon”, produced by veteran musicians Margot and Edith Gallardo.

He even posted his music videos on Youtube of his performances filmed within his lavish quarters of the prison facility.

Ivory Records does not see anything wrong with its decision to sell the song collection of the convicted bank robber from Ozamis City. They claim all they saw was his talent.

Last Monday, Justice Secretary Leila De Lima along with the members of the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI), Philippine National Police (PNP), and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) were surprised during an unannounced visit to the national penitentiary’s maximum security compound including Colanggo’s cell.

According to him, the luxurious items in his quarters were donations, adding that officials of the bureau were well aware of them.
