The Iglesia ni Cristo opens the Philippine Arena located in Bocaue, Bulacan, in time for their upcoming 100th founding anniversary on Sunday, July 27.
Philippine Arena is three times larger than Araneta Coliseum in Cubao, Quezon City
President Benigno Aquino III and INC Executive Minister Bro. Eduardo Manalo joined 50,000 members of the church in the unveiling of Ciudad De Victoria, the world’s largest indoor arena, Monday (July 21).
Ciudad De Victoria, which means “City of Victory” in English, was described in the marker as a testament to Iglesia ni Cristo’s “support for the promotion of Philippine culture and arts, sports and eco-tourism.”
The arena, which was built at the cost of more than $200 million has a maximum capacity of 55,000. It was designed by Populous, the firm that designed the state-of-the-art O2 Arena in London
Celebrities and politicians attended the historic inaugural rites.
