Mariah Carey’s much-awaited performance at Time’s Square during ‘Dick Clark’s Rockin’ New Year’s Eve With Ryan Seacrest’ was a major disaster.
The American singer was obviously frustrated when a vocal track malfunctioned and threw off the singer’s lip syncing onstage. The technical issue occurred while she was preparing to sing her hit “Emotions.”
“I’m trying to be a good sport here,” she said as she stopped singing and tried to explain to the crowd that her vocal track was missing and she couldn’t hear.
Her next performance of “We Belong Together” also ended with the same issue, “It just doesn’t get any better,” she said as she walked off the stage before the song finished.
After her performance, she took to Twitter and wrote: “S**t happens. Have a happy and healthy new year everybody! Here’s to making more headlines in 2017.”
