WATCH: Laura Lehmann Crowned Winner of Miss World Philippines 2017


Laura Lehmann was crowned winner of Miss World Philippines 2017 on Sunday, September 3, at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.

The former Ateneo de Manila University courtside reporter and ABS-CBN Sports host bested 34 other candidates from around the country in this year’s search for Miss World Philippines 2017.

She will represent the country at the Miss World competition to be held in Sanya, China on November 18.

The 5’9 stunner was also named Miss Cosmo Skin, Miss BYS Philippines and Multimedia challenge winner in Fast Tract event.

During the Q&A, Lehmann was asked what she would say to non-believers of beauty pageants.

She answered: “To anyone who don’t believe in pageants, I would ask them to take a look at the girls tonight because we have lawyers, architects, women of substance who are here not only because of what they look like but because of what’s in their hearts, what’s in their mind, and because what they’ve brought forth beauty with a purpose. they’re helping represent the Philippines and become the best version of the Filipina and for me that’s something only to celebrate.”

Meanwhile, Teresita Ssen ‘Winwyn’ Marquez, took the title of Reina Hispanoamericana Filipinas. She will represent the country in Reina Hispanoamericana in Bolivia.

Other winners are Cynthia Thomalla as Miss ECO Philippines 2017, Sofia Senoron as Miss Multinational Philippines 2017, Glyssa Perez as 1st Princess and Zara Carbonell as 2nd Princess.
