Filipino dance group Junior New System was named grand champion of this year’s World Championship of Performing Arts (WCOPA) at Long Beach, California USA.
After their victory, the proud Pinoys took to social media and thanked their supporters.
“Maraming maraming salamat po sainyong lahat! Sa walang sawang pagsuporta niyo po sa amin at mga panalangin po ninyo, salamat po! Para sa inyong lahat po ito,” the group wrote.
Junior New System took home $7,500 prize and proclaimed as “Dance Group of the Year” and “Grand Champion of the Year.”
In 2015, the all-male Filipino group was one of the nine finalists in the pan-Asian regional talent search “Asia’s Got Talent.” See related post here.
