Veteran actor Dick Israel has died Tuesday night according to actress Vivian Velez. He was 68 years old.
Velez shared the news on her Facebook account around 10 p.m. October 11, 2016.
She wrote, “Remembering his wonderful and gentle soul will forever remain in our hearts. A good heart has stopped beating, a good soul ascended to heaven. RIP Dick Israel.”
In July, Israel became viral on social media after a fire hit his house in Caloocan. The incident destroyed almost everything he saved from his long showbiz career.
In 2010, Israel suffered a stroke, affected his speech and half of his body paralyzed.
Ricardo Vizcarra Michaca, popularly known as Dick Israel, is a notable Filipino character actor who played mostly villain and sidekick roles in most of his movies.
