Sam Mangubat from Laguna defended his title for the third time on It’s Showtime’s singing competition “Tawag Ng Tanghalan.”
In an episode aired Tuesday, November 22, Mangubat performed his own version of O-Town’s “All Or Nothing” against daily round winner Clark Serafim, who sang “Nanghihinayang” by Jeremiah.
Before the announcement of winner, judge Rey Valera expressed his disappointment over Mangubat and Serafim’s performances. He called both performances not perfect and “palpak.”
Nyoy Volante, another judge of the competition, explained that the final result was based on the contestant who committed less mistakes during his performance.
Mangubat will be back on Tawag Ng Tanghalan stage on Wednesday to defend his title.
