Miss Philippines-Water 2015 Catherine Joy Marin is the newest winner of It’s Showtime singing competition “Tawag Ng Tanghalan.”
On Tuesday, June 21, the beauty queen from Bago City, Negros Occidental, impressed the judges with her version of “Someone Like You” by Adele during the elimination round.
Marin won the daily rounds and defeated one-day defending champion Meliton Talaba with her rendition of “Halo” by Beyonce. She garnered a total score of 91.2 percent, while Talaba, who performed “Bulong ng Damdamin” by April Boy Regino, received 91 percent.
She will be back on Wednesday to defend her title.
