WATCH: Joshua Oliveros Wins “The Voice Kids Philippines” Season 3


Joshua Oliveros, who was mentored by Lea Salonga, was declared winner of the third season of “The Voice Kids Philippines” on Sunday.

The 11-year-old singer bested two other finalists with 38.07 percent of the votes. Antonetthe Tismo of Team Sharon placed second, with 36.69 percent, while Justin Alva of Team Bamboo finished third, with 25.24 percent.

As winner of “The Voice Kids,” Joshua won a P1 million cash prize and a recording contract, among others.

The finale of the ABS-CBN reality show was held at the Newport Performing Arts Theater in Resorts World Manila, Pasig City.

During the first round of the two-day finale, Joshua performed “Mangarap Ka” and “Nais Ko” by Basil Valdez with his coach Lea Salonga.

Joshua wowed the judges during the audition round with his soulful rendition of “Habang May Buhay” by Wency Cornejo.

Last season, Elha Nympha from Team Bamboo won the title of “The Voice Kids.” Mitoy Yonting of Team Lea won the first season of “The Voice of the Philippines” in 2013, while Lyca Gairanod (“The Voice Kids”) and Jason Dy (“The Voice of the Philippines” season two) of Team Sarah won in 2014.
