Laguna’s pride Jessa Montefalcon is still the defending champion of ABS-CBN “It’s Showtime” singing competition “Tawag Ng Tanghalan.”
On Monday (September 12), Montefalcon wowed the audience and judges with her own rendition of OPM classic “Bakit Ako Mahihiya” by Didith Reyes, defeating daily round winner Diana Marie Albano from Mindanao, who performed her version of “To Love You More” by Celine Dion.
After tabulating the final results, the judges revealed that Montefalcon earned a total average score of 94.2 percent while Albano received only 89.6 percent.
Monteflacon took home a total cash prize of P85,000 and will return on Tawag Ng Tanghalan stage on Tuesday to defend her title.
