The exclusive interview was conducted by BBC Filipino news anchor Rico Hizon. It’s focused on how ‘AlDub’ helped GMA-7 noontime show Eat Bulaga through social media and captivate younger audience.

Below is the transcript of the interview:

Rico Hizon: What it feels like to be popular so quickly?

Maine: It’s very overwhelming. Everything that is happening now has not sunk in to me yet. The mere fact that people are so engaged and drawn into the whole thing is unbelievable. The support and love of our fans is amazing, they’re incredible.

Alden: Basically, Aldub is just an accident. Nobody planned this, no body knew that it would turned this way, no body knew that this would be this successful.

Rico Hizon: What is next for Alden and for Maine?

Alden: We’re doing a movie that will come up this December 25 for Metro Manila Film Festival that happened every Christmas season.

Rico Hizon: Are you both in love?

Alden and Maine: That’s for the people to find out very soon.

Rico Hizon: Is it just an act for your sponsors and endorsers?

Alden and Maine: What do you think sir? What ever we have now, we’re just making the most of it and we’re just having fun. No pressure. We are not closing our doors on what’s going to happen next between the two of us. We are both single anyways. So that possibility is possible.
