Sawyer Fredericks Named Winner of The Voice Season 8 (2015)





Sawyer Fredericks was crowned the new winner of NBC’s television singing competition ‘The Voice.’

The announcement was revealed on Tuesday in a star-studded season finale that featured performances by Maroon 5, Ed Sheeran, Kelly Clarkson, Meghan Trainor, Luke Bryan, John Fogerty, and Sheryl Crow.

Sawyer beat out rivals Joshua Davis, Koryn Hawthorne and Meghan Linsey to win the eight season of the television singing contest after a series of stunning vocal performances last night.

Sawyer hit all his marks on Monday night’s performance finale, with his own version of “Old Man” by Neil Young, a duet with his coach Pharrell Williams “Summer Breeze” by Seals & Croft and his original song called ““Please” written by Ray LaMontagne.

Team Blake Shelton Meghan Linsey placed second, Team Adam Levine Joshua Davis placed third, and Team Pharrell Williams Koryn Hawthorne in fourth place.
