Pinay group MICA was eliminated from Korean talent show Mnet Superstar K.
During the last episode of the show, the siblings from Santiago Isabela performed “I’ll Be There” with a Korean contestant Kim Hyeon-mi.
Despite their talent, the judges decided to send home MICA and chose Kim to remain in the competition.
On their Facebook page, netizens complained about the result. Both Korean and Filipino audience claimed the judges were favoring Korean contestants.
“This is so unfair! Their rendition of “I’ll be there” was so heartfelt…it’s not their fault if the Korean girl was pitchy…MICA nailed it…they don’t deserve to go home…Korea haven’t seen the rest of this sisters yet…they are total performers…they can sing, dance, rap, beatbox, etc…truly multi-talented…so please BRING THEM BACK!!!,” said Filipina fan Imee Palad.
Watch their performance and be the judge!
MICA also known as the Gollayan Sisters composed of Mylene, Irene, Celina and Almira Gollayan, was the only group from the Philippines on Superstar K.
