ABS-CBN’s singing and impersonation competition for celebrities “Your Face Sounds Familiar” has just revealed the grand winner on Sunday, June 7, 2015 at the Resorts World Manila.
Comedian Melai Contiveros was crowned winner of “Your Face Sounds Familiar.” She won a trophy and P2 million – half of which will go to her chosen charity.
The 27-year-old Cantiveros got the 51.93 percent of the total votes while singer Nyoy Volante took home the second spot. R&B singer Jay-R finished third while actor Edgar Allan Guzman got the fourth highest number of votes.
The runners-up will receive P200,000 each plus trophy.
Last night, Melai brought the house down as Miley Cyrus when she performed “Wrecking Ball.” Edgar Allan impersonated American R&B artist Chris Brown while Jay R performed “New York, New York” as iconic singer Frank Sinatra.
Meanwhile, Nyoy decided to perform as a woman when he impersonated Whitney Houston and sang “I Will Always Love You.”
“Your Face Sounds Familiar” is an interactive reality television franchise series developed by Endemol and Antena 3 which aired on March 14, 2015 in ABS-CBN and hosted by Billy Crawford. Jed Madela, Gary Valenciano, and Sharon Cuneta served as the show’s judges.
