Fil-American Singer Amy Vachal Makes it to The Voice Season 9 Top 11





Fil-American singer Amy Vachal has survived the first live elimination rounds of The Voice Season 9. The result was revealed during the Top 12 results show on Tuesday, Nov. 17.

Joining Amy in the Top 11 are Team Adam’s Jordan Smith and Shelby Brown. Team Pharrell’s Madi Davis and Evan McKeel. Team Gwen’s Korin Bukowski, Braiden Sunshine and Jeffery Austin. Lastly, Team Blake’s Emily Ann Roberts, Zach Seabaugh and Barrett Baber.

On Monday’s live performance, Amy sang her version of Drake’s “Hotline Bling.” Accompanied herself on electric guitar and put her own smooth and sultry twist on the song that is currently #2 on Billboard’s “Hot 100” chart.

Coach Adam Levine was proud and said he wanted her song.

“Amy, I think you made a really brave choice in listening to me on this. I know that this was a weird choice,” he said. “You took a risk and did something bold. I want that version of that song in my life and that didn’t exist until now. You put an entirely new spin of a really great song and you should be so proud of the artist you are evolving into. That was so cool.”
