Asia’s Got Talent Grand Finals Performances Recap, Winner Poll






Nine acts performed during the grand finals round of Asia’s Got Talent held Thursday night, May 7, 2015 at Marina Bay Sands in Singapore.

Boys’ rock band ‘The Talento‘ from Thailand was the first act who took the stage followed by China’s Gao Lin and Liu Xin who performed a ballet and acrobatics routine to the tune of “Unconditionally” by Katy Perry.

Philippine rep Gwyneth Dorado impressed the four judges with her version of “Titanium” by David Guetta featuring Sia while Singapore’s girl group Dance Thrilogy performed a dance routine to the tune of “The Gold Diggers’ Song (We’re in the Money)” from the musical 42nd Street.

Mongolia’s Khusugtun performed an original composition with the use of traditional Mongolian musical instruments. Japan’s Triqstar performed a dance routine wholly inspired by traditional Japanese culture, highlighted by dancing while still seated, contortionism, and popping routines.

The last three performers who received standing ovation from the judges were from the Philippines – shadow play group El Gamma Penumbra, opera singer Gerphil Flores and Junior New System who performed an American football-inspired multitrack dance and stunts performance using a medley which included, among others, “Wannabe” by the Spice Girls, “Run the World (Girls)” by BeyoncĂ©, and “Who Let the Dogs Out?” by Baha Men.

The show is hosted by Marc Nelson and Rovilson Fernandez; while the judges are Anggun, David Foster, Melanie C, and Vanness Wu. Winner will be revealed on Thursday, May 14, during the results night of the competition.
