Tawag Ng Tanghalan champion Noven Belleza was arrested in Cebu for alleged rape according to PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal).
Belleza was arrested at the IEC Pavillion, Barangay Mabolo, shortly after his guesting at ‘Pusuan Mo si Vice Ganda’ concert in Cebu early Sunday, July 16.
By 1 p.m., Belleza reportedly complained of chest pains and was brought to nearby hospital. The singer was still in the hospital as of last night.
Meanwhile, in an exclusive phone interview on Monday, July 17, 2017, Chief Inspector Jacinto Mandal Jr., head of Mabolo Police Station in Cebu City, told PEP:
“Actually, I cannot expound about this case because this is considered as a private crime. “I cannot divulge you the name of the victim.
Mandal also said that a complaint was already file by the 19-year-old local performer in Cebu.
There has been no official statement from Belleza and his camp at this time.
Belleza was the first ever grand winner of ABS-CBN’s singing competition “Tawag ng Tanghalan” held last March.
