Singer-actor Ricky Martin reportedly died in a car crash on New Year’s Day according to YouTube channel named “Shocking And-Upcoming” published on January 3, 2015.
The video contains a description that would lead fans to believe Martin was unfortunately killed in a car crash.
“Multi-platinum artist Enrique Martin Morales, known by the stage name ‘Ricky Martin’, died at 4:30 pm eastern time while driving his BMW CONVERTIBLE CAR on a freeway in Los Angeles, CA,” the report noted.
“There was a very slow moving vehicle in the left lane of the freeway and when the BMW came over the hill, it was right in front of him and it tried to avoid it”, the fake report quoted sergeant Hall with the HPD accident division as saying.
However, Ricky Martin is alive as his tweets from his official Twitter account kind of replied to the death hoax video report.
“Hello from #heaven,” the singer tweeted the Instagram photo.
Meanwhile, the Puerto Rican singer is set to release a new album in 2015 titled “A Quien Quiera Escuchar.”
