Viva Films has released the teaser trailer of the much-awaited Iglesia Ni Cristo movie dramatizing the life of Felix Manalo.
Felix Y. Manalo: The Last Messenger is an upcoming epic-historical-biographical film about the first Executive Minister of the Iglesia Ni Cristo (INC). Manalo is regarded by the members of the church as the last prophet of God and restorer of the true church, whom the Church gives the title Sugò (Tagalog, “messenger” or “envoy”).
The movie covers Manalo’s life, particularly his religious journey that culminated in his establishing the Iglesia ni Cristo, which he registered with the Philippine government on July 27, 1914.
Dennis Trillo will play the role of Bro. Felix Y. Manalo, Albert Martinez will play the role of Bro. Erano G. Manalo and Gabby Concepcion as Bro. Eduardo V. Manalo.
Supporting cast includes Bela Padilla as Honorata de Guzman-Manalo (Felix Manalo’s wife), Snooky Serna as Cristina Villanueva-Manalo (Erano Manalo’s wife) and Gladys Reyes as Bonifacia Manalo-Ysagun (Felix Manalo’s mother).
Dubbed as the biggest and most expensive movie of the century with an estimated budget of US$7.5 million (P300 million), at least half a million of people participate as extras for the film. Story was written by Bienvenido Santiago, Sr. and Arlyn Dela Cruz.
The movie is scheduled to be released on October 7, 2015. It will be premiered in the 55,000-seater Philippine Arena, and the 20,000-seater Philippine Stadium in Ciudad de Victoria, Bocaue, Bulacan.
