Philippine bet Maxine Medina said that she deserved to be in Miss Universe 2016 Top 12.
“As soon as I stepped out of that stage, I saw all of them were cheering for me, all standing for me, and it boosted my confidence,” Medina said a day after the preliminary competition of the prestigious beauty pageant on Thursday night.
“I think I did well last night… I would want to make the people see that I am deserving for the Top 12, not just as the host country, but I gave it my 100 percent for the country,” she added.
The 26-year-old Pinay beauty queen received roaring cheers from Pinoy fans during the swimsuit, evening gown and national costume show of the pageant.
The Miss Universe 2016 Grand Coronation on January 30 will kick off with the announcement of the Top 12 candidates live at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.
