FULL VIDEO: Maxine Medina Confident of Back-To-Back Win for Miss Universe

The Philippines’ bet to the Miss Universe pageant, Maxine Medina, said she’s confident and promised to win the upcoming 65th Miss Universe in the country.

“I’m ready, I worked hard to make Filipinos proud. It will be a back-to-back [victory],” she said in an interview during her send-off party held at the Versailles Tent of Novotel Manila in Quezon City last Tuesday, January 11.

The 26-year-old model and interior designer said it would be an honor to win the title in the country.

“Honestly, I just realized na it would be fulfilling for me to have it here in the Philippines. Kasi everyone knows that I’m fond of going outdoors. And it was so surprising na bigla na lang dito sa Philippines and we’re going around the Philippines. And it’s my goal na before I go around the world, I’ll be going around the Philippines first,” she said.

The reporters also asked her if she’s nervous about the presence of President Rodrigo Duterte, Maxine replied: “Oh, no. I’m very honored that our President will be there and since he will be witnessing a back-to-back win.”

The Miss Universe 2016 pageant will be held at the Mall of Asia Arena on January 30.
