To tell you, increasing Blog’s CTR is not an accident. There are some secrets to make it happen. After reading CTR Doubled With My New Layout! and 5 Ways To Increase Your CTR by Marhgil i’ve decided to make my own experiment to prove it.
By the way, what is CTR or Click-through rate is a way of measuring the success of an online advertising campaign. A CTR is obtained by dividing the number of users who clicked on an ad on a web page by the number of times the ad was delivered (impressions). For example, if your banner ad was delivered 100 times (impressions delivered) and one person clicked on it (clicks recorded), then the resulting CTR would be 1 percent. SRC: Wikipedia.org
After two days, i’ve noticed my Blog’s CTR increased. I’ve proved it. The result’s amazing! My blog’s dramatically increased to 3-4%.
According to Yuga, 3% is a good number for regular blogs. That means if you are earning $1 a day you can do that by $2/day x 30 days = $60 a month, not bad if you are just starting. What if 1-2 years from now? How do you see your earnings?
Right now, if your purpose of blogging is to make friends and to write stuff about your interest and experience, why not give yourself a reward. There’s nothing to lose and no one will benefit but you. If you are really serious of monetizing your blog, this is one of the best things that you shouldn’t miss. The world is changing. Do it before it’s too late.

Maybe I should try that. I was using Kontera for my ads but I have to delete it though because my site just slows down and I think it was also the reason why my site kept crashing but you know what, I’ll try it again!

Reyna, it’s a must :-0 try to remove also unnecessary displays/widgets in your sidebar. Speaking of Kontera, try to put it back again. Their program is good though the ads are a bit annoying to some visitors. hehe

suggestion ko lang, you can try this for a day or two, try putting your sidebar on the right. experience ko kasi, mas mataas ang CTR ng ads sa right sidebar
the mouse pointer is almost always at the right side of the screen, mas madali magclick ng ads.

I’m really not that consistent in implementing seo tips I read on the web. bukod sa may pagka-moron ako sa technicalities, medyo tamad din ako. but I picked up some interesting ideas from marhgil’s post that you discussed. salamat ambo. may natutunan na naman ako.
