Bandila Nominated for Emmy Awards

Proud Pinoy! ABS-CBN’s late-night news “Bandila” is nominated for 2007 International Emmy Award in News and Current Affairs category. This is the first time ever that program from the Philippines is nominated for an International Emmy Award.
Emmy quoted, The 2007 nominees are a testimony to the diversity of international television news organizations which now reach a high standard of excellence,” said Bruce L. Paisner, President & Sciences; CEO of The International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, also President of Hearst Entertainment. The International Academy takes enormous pride in saluting the work of these outstanding news organizations and journalists from Asia, Europe and South America.
“The Subic Rape Case Promulgation” news opened doors for Bandila’s nomination at the prestigious award. Winners will be announced at a Ceremony at the Sheraton New York Hotel & Towers in New York City on September 24, 2007. The international winners will be honored alongside their American news and documentary counterparts.
