Judges Pilita Corrales and guest mentor Rico J Puno , Martin Nieverra with guest mentor Arnel Pineda, Charice with Cheesa Laureta (The Voice finalist) and Gary Valenciano and guest mentor Jed Madela, selected their Top 3 acts who will move on to the live shows.

X Factor Philippines Top 12 acts will perform during the live show starting next week, Saturday (August 4) while the elimination results will be announced on Sunday, August 5, 2012.

X Factor Philippines has just announced the Top 20 contestants on Sunday’s episode of the show July 22, 2012. From 172 successful auditionees, they were trimmed down to 68 and judges Gary Valenciano, Pilita Corales, Martin Nievera and Charice has chosen the Top 20.

Two from each category will be eliminated before the live shows and only 12 contestants will move on to the finals. The 5 finalists in each of the 4 categories: 5 Girls (age 16-25), 5 Boys (age 16-25), 5 Over 25s (age 26 and above) and 5 Groups were chosen. They are the following:
